How to convert picture from pdf to jpg?

I had a picture scanned and it is now in .pdf format. I want to be able to crop this picture and for that, I need to convert it to jpg so I can run it with ArcSoft Photo Impression. Can anyone tell me how to convert it to jpg. or if not, can someone tell me how I can crop a pdf picture?
