About of TIFF Format:
TIFF or the Tagged Image File Format is a rather old standard that is still very popular today. It is a highly flexible and platform-independent format which is supported by numerous image processing applications and virtually all all prepress software on the market. TIFF is strictly used for bitmap data. It doesn't contain text nor vector data.
TIFF images can contain more or less Colour spaces:
Line-art (pure black-and-white)
Grayscale
Pseudocolor, from 1-bit to 8-bit (also called palette colour or indexed colour in PhotoShop)
RGB
YCbCr
CMYK
CIELab
Setting of TIFF Format:
Resolution:
Here you can define the output image TIFF resolution. Usually, a higher resolution setting will result in larger but higher quality TIFF format, while a lower setting will result in smaller but lower quality TIFF file.
Important: Low resolution is ideal for screen viewing. However, if high-quality paper print or the accurate control of character position is required, you should specify resolution above (include) 600dpi.
Colors:
· High Color (24 Bit).
· Middle Color (12 Bit).
· 2 colors (Black/White) G3 fax encoding with no EOLs .
· 2 colors (Black/White) G3 fax encoding with EOLs.
· 2 colors (Black/White) 2-D G3 fax encoding.
· 2 colors (Black/White) G4 fax encoding.
· 2 colors (Black/White) LZW-compatible.
· 2 colors (Black/White) PackBits
